Knight and T/C Customer service.
I bought another Knight Vision awhile ago when they were on sale. Found out recently it had the same problem my other one had firing primers consistently.
This past Muzzleloader season in Ohio a friend borrowed my Triumph and broke the trigger guard off????? Not really sure how but it was really cold when it broke. My point is i boxed up both Muzzleloaders and shipped them both out UPS on 1/18/2010. I was very surprised to see my Knight on my porch on Friday 1/22/2010 fixed and ready to use. I will post when my Triumph gets back and see how long it takes. |
Never had experience with Knight, my feelings on T/C are mixed. As I recall the turnaround both times I had my Omega stock in were decent, but I was pretty irate that when the gun was faulty from the factory (front swivel stud hole oversized, stripped out the first time I put a sling on it) I had to pay shipping to them, have them simply screw it back in without fixing the problem and ship it back just to pop out again, then pay a SECOND time to ship it back to them to fix it right.
The repair came out good in the end but they should have at least paid shipping the second time if not the first. |
While we are talking about customer service, I feel CVA should be in the mix. I had a problem with synthetic stocks that would keep cracking on a Kodiak I bought at WalMart for $99. They paid all shipping. Sent me a new stock first round. It cracked. I sent them the gun on their dime and it came back with another stock. It cracked. Gun went back on their dime again and returned with a custom laminate stock after they called me for some measurements. The gun was so beautiful when I got it back I traded it to my brother for a TC Omega he had because I could not bring myself to scratch it up in the woods. CVA has great customer service. The whole process of 3 stocks took about 8 weeks until I got the gun back for the last time with the laminate stock. They also did a trigger job on it the last time free of charge for the trouble. I am now in the process of trying to buy the gun back from my brother, but it is going to cost me more then $99 this time.

Grouse, i got two of the visions also when they were on sale. Heck of a buy for the money, had issues with one of the breech plugs. Called, sent the gun and got it back in record time fixed and shooting well. Can't complain one bit about the cs with them.

They did come from the Sportmans guide i believe. Atleast the same run of Muzzleloaders.

The two i purchased came from a local gun store, they ordered 100 of them and run them out the door for $199. Sold everyone pretty quick. I got one based on the price and the gm barrel, noticed they had two styles of bps. The one shot so well for me, i went and grabbed another, got the last one they had. I have both styles of bps and both work fine for me, just that one is harder to get the primers out, non magnetic one, i opened it up just a bit and it helped. I would really like to modify one for the vent liner deal i've read on here, but my tools consist of a rat tail file and a prayer so i'll have to wait on that one.

I called T/C today and was told my Triumph wont be done for six to eight weeks. Do they have that many problems or limited amount of people???? Oh well, i really dont need it.
