ahhhh man! SOB our walmart doesnt carry jack squat for muzzleloading. that optima is a really good deal though.

i was reading on the APP sight under FAQ and i read about not having to use lube on the patches when shooting round balls. I loaded up a .490 round ball with .018 tick wow is that a tight fit! I'll shoot 3 shots and see how the patches look, but most importantly, how the group is.

I tried that several times the patches burned a lot worse. While Bore Butter is not so great as a preservative it sure did work well as a patch grease. Lee

I have always used bore butter or the like on my patches. Never used dry ones.
