After some adjustments up and to the right, shes ready for hunting season!
New load thats perfect, shot at 100 yards today with 90gr APP, .018 pillow tick and .490 round ball.
Those 2 shots will fit inside one of the 1" squares on the target.
CVA Hawken .50cal 1:48 twist

These targets suck when the sun is out so i had to move it into some brush area in the shade.

Starts up again in September. Maybe august if we go bow hunting
this is the best group ive ever shot in this rifle, especially at 100 yards. It really likes the pillow tick, thats my guess. Also, this powder im using was from the bottom of what i have left of APP, its still good so far!

Just goes to show you. There ain't nothin wrong with those CVAs. Glad to see someone is out shooting. I just can't work up enough courage to go out and shoot. Even though it was a balmy 27 degrees out today. I was more comfy sitting on the sofa watching the wildcard games.

Hey Devil, I thought about you Friday evening. Stopped at a WalMart near my hunting lease and they had about twenty-five packs of 295 grain Copper/HP Powerbelts on the rack for $9 a pack. Also had Optima (Blue/Black/Thumbhole) for $160 and Buckhorns for $100. But you're really better off with that Hawken and balls.
