Which Sabot

I am sure you will have the right one found in no time at all. It still just goes back to which works best for you from the gun you are shooting it from.
When do you anticipate you might be able to get on that hog hunting trip? Please - Please get some pictures and if you could pass up the good shot and take the difficult one in a difficult location that would be even cooler. I am hoping you make the bullet really work for the harvest... I really wish I could do it - we just do not have anything we can hunt right now... other than a peeper.
Question.... compare the bore diameter of your Triumph to the bore diameter of the Endevor... ah1 it really doesn't matter.. I AM NOT BUYING ANOTHER MUZZLEOADER.

I hope you know that if you are ever around Heber Springs with a day to spare that I would fix up a hog hunt.
I will get some thing going as soon as the wife can drive herself to therapy.
The only differance that I can tell in the bores so far is that the bore of the Endeavor is like glassfor smooth, I will say more after I get to fire more than 7 shots.Lee

I see very little difference in accuracy from sabot to sabot.I shoot Harvester products 99% of the time though Ihave shot my fair share of MMP. I prefer Harvester as a company over MMP which is why I shoot them.
As for your question. I don't shoot pointy bullets so if your theory is correct, that could be why I do not see a difference between sabots.

Shot my KRB yesterday with a mix of Crushed Rib Sabots, Harvester EZ Glides, with Barnes MZ Expanders, and Speer Gold Dots. Nothing shot very well I still need to play around. The Crushed Rib sabots were way too loose in my barrel. The EZ load sabots loaded tight and shot just about the best. If my memory serves me well my KRB shot 300gr XTP's in a Crushed Rib sabot with 90gr of Pyrodex RS really well last fall. On the bright side those Gold Dots really expanded nice into the berm of sandy dirt. I could see the "textbook" gold dot. My wife has my camera somewhere or I would post a picture. I also reorganized my range box and in a bag I found 3 packs of Nosler Partition Gold 300gr. I forgot I had those. I picked them up at Sportsmans Warehouse going out of bussiness sale in Indiana. Guess I got more testing to do.......

None of those thinner sabots were ever tried in mine. It will shoot a an 1 or close to it depending on the shooter with MMP 12 and 250 gr XTP or SW and with a 44cal 240 gr XTP and a green 44/50 sabot.
I always take the breach plug out and try sabot bullet combinations if they are not tight enough to make this 6foot one inch 200 pound er use both hands and put some weight on it then there's no point in wasting the powder cause they wont shoot good any way. If the sabot is not tight enough that the rifling's cut into it a bit then it wont hold onto the bullet when it spins. Lee
