I want a 1/24 twist replacement barrel for my Lyman Deerstalker FlintLock. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. I saw Cabelas has 1/28 on sale right now. Not interested in that. I would like 1/24 or faster.

About all I could suggest is a custom barrel. Perhaps Green Mountain Barrel could help you out. They do have a barrel I believe is 1-24 and made to shoot conicals in one of their custom Hawkins but you have to purchase the barrel, rifle and a tube scope. Whether they would sell just the barrel I do not know. I heard they will not just sell the barrel.

This guys make some really good barrels... they use to make a lot of ML barrels - you would probably have to call them and discuss the project(s) with them....

Well, this is a long shot Grouse, but you might give it a try.
Green Mountain makes a 15/16", 45 caliber pistol barrel in a 1:20 twist - but they are only 12" long. You might try calling them to see if they can produce a rifle length barrel for you. If so, they can probably even install your existing breech plug if you pull it off and send it to them. Then you can drill a touch hole where you want it, or install a liner.
