I have a few Bullets I am considering trying out in my Savage MLand was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them. Both are .458 rounds that are made for the 45/70. The first is a Nosler 300 gr protected point partition bullet. The second choice is a Sierra 300 gr HP/FN in thier pro hunter series. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Best Wishes on your choice, Oh, my opinion is the Harvester's are a better sabot in the Savage, they hold up better than the Orange MMP. The CR is designed for .452 bullets and it works perfect in .458 diameters. Chap

I'm familiar with both brands in centerfire shooting, and you're dealing with two good brands. Nosler will be a little more high-end, but that doesn't necessarily mean greater performance. Tough choice. Guess you'll have to shoot both and see what you like
