That does not speak well for QC. Both of mine are rock solid so far.

You could slide that pin in, make sure you somehow hold everything in position, then tap a tight fitting nail into that pin. I don't think it would ever come off without driving that nail out.

I tried to send a pic of mine but it kept saying there was an error?? Anyway I got ahold of Mark Hendricks from CVA and mines on it's way back with a new one comming. He said from the pics I sent him that it looks like either the dove-tail on the barrel was to big or the dove-tail on the mount was too small, he'll let me know when he examines it. My other ACCURA is fine. Im sure I could have fixed it myself but I did'nt want to VOID my Warranty with CVA, Thank's for the pic!

good to hear. Let us know what Mark says about the older one. Be good info to have just in case this pops up ( or off) again.

I'll post my findings as soon as I hear from Mark. He said this was the first case of this he has heard of and he wanted to see my gun befor anyone else did, usually if you send in a gun for warranty work it goes right to the repair shop, he wanted to see this one first hand, he was truely concerned over this and we all hope this is just one of those things as I have 4 other CVA's and they have never let me down, they are some of the best shooting ML's I have ever had and my older CVA Hunter Bolt Mag is a tac driver and killed a-lot of Deer, I love it so much I use it only during our Shotgun Season that's how confident I am in it and it did'nt cost me more than $130. I also have a CVA Kodiak that is as nice and just as accurate and have killed deer with it but still use the Hunter Bolt. That's why I purchased the 2 ACCURA's, when I got the first one I was in love and did'nt even shoot it yet, then bought another. The trigger feels so smooth and you cant beat the extras and the price. These are Certainly Not your Father's CVA's. I'd reccomended them to anyone. All my buddies have TC Oncores and spent 4 times as much as my Hunter Bolt Mag and Kodiak, but I kill as many deer and out shoot most of them when sighting in. I cant wait to show them the ACCURA, mabey now I'll get a second look and not just a quick peek. I'll keep everyone informed on the status of the ACCURA's Barrel Lug Situation, untill then Keep On Smokin!!! The Deer that is........
