Default New way to load??

This year during hunting season. Id let my X7 stay loaded for 4 or 5 days. If I didnt make it out hunting. Id reload it. One of those times was before a morning hunt & cold out. I guess my fingers were nt as well as they should. I let the sabot slide into the barrel without the bullet in it. I ended up putting the bullet in on top of the sabot. I pushed it down & felt it press down on the sabot once the sabot hit the powder. Then I could feel the bullet slide down into the sabot.. The ramrod showed that the bullet & sabot were all the way down. Well I got to thinking. this may not be good. So I reloaded it. & went hunting. It loaded a whole lot easier that way. Do you guys see any problems with loading like that?

If YOU ARE POSITIVE that the bullet is in that sabot. Try shaking the bullet out of the bore. I personally would not recommend loading like that.

X4

IMO: There is a possibility that the bullet will not seat in the sabot.

Well, I have to admit I've done it a number of times with Barnes boattail bullets and the yellow sabots that came with them. The would not load any other way. However, I made absolutly sure the bullet was fully seated in the sabot. Never had a problem.
