Excellant report good pics, and a good shot, it sounds like you have gotten it together well. Thats the same sort of results I get from the same load; some people overload PB's and underload SW. Lee

If a deer decides to bolt at full speed after the shot, it's amazing how fast they can cover ground. I've seen runs that long on rare occasion even with perfect double-lungs. Even without functional lungs they can go until their brain runs out of oxygen. Which is a decent piece at 40-45mph or whatever they can run.
Unless you break a leg or shoulder to prevent the run, they could do anything from this to falling over in their tracks. I hunt a lot of open fields and tend to try and avoid the shoulder to minimize ruined meat but when they NEED to go down, that's where I shoot...
