What bullets have you tried?
I suspect that with a 1:20 twist you'll get the best results with a 200 grain ShockWave driven as fast as you can get it to go.

You will likely have issues finding an accurate load with that gun. They stopped making the 1-20"s because they were so incredibly finicky. Best bet is to reduce powder charge to 80gr and go from there. I'd go with the bullets in the 250-300gr range too.

Ifyou would be willing to mail ME that rifle.....I'd do some indepthtesting with many different bullet/powder combos and then send it back to ya, ready to go hunting

Waddya say?
I am serious! All I shoot is 45cal rifles, and I've got A LOT of custom bullets and sabots that may prove to be the Sweet Spot for your 1:20 rifle

OK ok, you saw thru my ploy to finally get my hands on a fast twist rifle for testing[8D]
HowBout I send you 20-30 different bullets with sabots, so you can test them, all for free?? I mean they are just extra weight I'm carrying in my shooting bag, and they sure don't work in my 1:30 twist Disc Elites....
Really, you'd just have ta shoot 2 of each at a large 25 yard target to see if they will group/stabilize in that barrel. Sound like a good deal?

I have a program that calculates the bullet to twist.
You need a bullet of .40
cal and 1.2 inches in length.
I am assuming its a 45cak because of the twist.
Hope this helps.

My best guess is the sabots like to jump the rifling when it is that fast, or are spinning fast enough down the barrel that the bullets are not spinning right along with them. Just a guess
