My best guess is the sabots like to jump the rifling when it is that fast, or are spinning fast enough down the barrel that the bullets are not spinning right along with them. Just a guess

spaniel. I never thought of the likely of sabots jumping the rifling when I suggested pushing 200 grain SW's as fast as possible. I still think the 200 SW's are probably the right length bullet for that twist.
