Default Sabots in sidelock

I was wondering how many of you guys have had success shooting a sabot in your percussion ml's. I am thinking about shooting a 300gr. gold dot with 70-80 grains of pyrodex rs. Has anyoned else had good luck with a load similar to this?

Thanks,

Die Hard

Some traditional rifles with a 1-48 twist will shoot sabots very well. Which one is the question. I have good luck with a 300 grain XTP in one Renegade. Others find the lighter ones shoot better. All you can do is try.
