Something you have done prior to finding it did not help or matter to you, something I have not done and still don't know if it will help or make difference with me, just something I would like to get an answer to. I have emailed BH to find what their answer would be.

vvvaaa - real close to what I get.

I weigh because I found for me it is quicker then volume - use Lane's tubes and have 20 ready in just a few minutes.

There is no need to weigh out charges of BP or any of the subs. None of these powders are energetic enough to create significant differences in pressure and velocity with just a few grains (by weight) variation that may exist when measuring the charges by volume with a typical brass BP powder measure. This stuff is not like smokeless powder where a grain or two can cause the pressure to vary by several kPSI. The more important thing for accuracy with volumetrically measured charges is to throw the charge the same way every time. If, for instance, you like to tap the measure twice to settle the powder a little, than ALWAYS tap it just twice.

Let's mess with everyone's head a little and post up weights of pellets.

vvvaaa, your conversion ranges from .675 to just a bit over .69for BH209. Western will probably tell you .7

Using .675 is conservative and plenty accurate.

Thanks Steve, where are these Lanes tubes available? This is just something I look forward doing, just to know. In the past I have used nothing but pellets and since I've been on this forum two things are for sure, everyone has an opinion and what works for one may not work for the other. I have put these pellets on the scale only to find more of a difference than I would have thought.

Underclocked, as you mentioned Western's reply was .7 x vol = weight for BH.
