Yes it was a very beautiful morning, but man was it cold! Didn't see anything morning or evening, but someone hunting in the same section of state land took one tonight. Did not see it but heard the shot and when we got back to the van there was blood and drag marks in the snow.

Marion , Heard lots of good about there. I hunt either Marion springs or Maple river. We canoe in for bowhunting. Gets crazy during gun. I was supposed to be in marion springs this morning, but the news was calling for 30 mph winds. Im going this afternoon & tomarrow morning.

Yep, we have hunted Marion Springs as well. My dad has hunted there for close to 40 years now, and me as long as I have been hunting.

I hear you about getting crazy during gun season.
