I have never inspected the Knight disc Rifle. But if it's anything like my Mk85 its very well made. My Mk has the Timney adjustable trigger which was standard at the time. It is superior to my Remington 700 classic trigger. Does anyone know why Knight is moving away from the disc platform?

I'm guessing most people would rather buy something else and not have to mess around with the discs. Just my guess.

You do not need to use the disc if you do not want to. There is a conversion a NFPJ - which just uses the bare 209 primer... I actually kinda like the FPJ system....

The discs make the rifle completely waterproof. Knight makes a conversion kit, but most believe the kit is a downgrade and not as good as the discs. I have both a Thompson Center and a Knight Disc extreme. If I want reliabiity and accuracy I use the Knight. If I want something quick and still accurate I take the T/C.

In all fairness to my T/C, I'm sure eventually I will get it dialed in like my Disc Extreme is, but it's taking more time than I anticipated to find the perfect load. My Knight was dialed in right out of the gate with 110gr triple 7 and a 250 grain red hot. The T/C is a bit more selective.

I'm not a huge fan of the newer Knights and prefer the older Disc Extreme.

Just my opinion..
