Picked one of these up for a great price now that the .45 phase seems to be over. Was orig $599 and came with a green mountain barrel. Anyone have one ? I havent yet gotten to the range with it yet. Still needs a scope , any recommendations ? On another note here is a doe took Friday with my Bow.

just be sure you always have your jokie little disc's or your screwed knight would be alright but that disc is plain and simple a pain in the a$$. .45 is a good caliber but good luck with the knight and make sure your front site doesnt fall off!!
my grandpa runs a gun shop and we have had pry 10-15 guys in about 3-4 come in and want us to put the site on cuz it fell off. and id buy lotsof them pos disc and put some in your gun case your truck and some other locations cuz you may forget them sometime and this way you're set.

slugman,
Congratulations on the nice doe....she looks bigger than the 10pt. buck I took with my Martin Hunter recurve the 2nd week of Oct.
I've spent a lot of time at the range shooting various 45's that last couple of years. The 220, 240 and 260gr. Dead Centers shoot very well w/110grs. of Triple 7 powder. In the Power Belts the 225 and 275gr. aero tip and hpwork well with just aboutall powders and heavy powder charges. I've shot some pretty good groups using the Barnes 195gr. Spit fire too.
I was not happy with the groups I shot using the 200gr. Hornady SST's
This could be me too, because there are many on this forum that swear by the SST in the 50cal and I can't get them to shoot out of my 50's either. I get to many unexplained fliers when I shoot SST's and T/C's shockwaves.
Good luck in finding that perfect bullet/powder combination.
