Default Omega denting primers?

I've got a problem with my TC Omega. When I close the breech, it scrapes the primer as it closes, denting it slightly. I'm afraid that it may ignite one of the primers. The breech plug is tightened completely, so thats not the problem. Anyone have similar issues or thoughts on how to correct it?
Thanks

Have you tried more than one brand of primer? Some seem to be longer than others and don't fully seat in the primer pocket. I find CCI's are shorter than some others, but haven't used a lot of 209s so can't give you a better comparison of brands. Someone here will, though.

i am not the most knowledgeable but on a prior forum post someone had issue getting the breech to close and i believe it was due to a loose breech plug

I would agree with Semisane on this one. Remington Kleenebore and Winchester 777 primers do not seat the same in my Knight Bighornor my Omega. I haveto push pretty hard with the flat end of my capper to seat them. I dont have any problems using Winchester W209's in any of my rifles. If you use 777, the crud ring will be a little worse with the W209's. I swab between shots, so this isn't an issue for me. Try seating them with your capper. That should eliminate your problem. You may need a De-capper to remove them though. My capper has both.
