LOL Well after hunting and shooting with them for the last several years on many different guns ranging from 243 to 7mag to 30-06 and others as well a a 4x32 Prostaff on a 50 cal inline mz I have yet to see a poi change. As far as clarity of glass...the Monarch is much better than the vx-iii I have, In fact the Pro Staff and vx-iii would be pretty close. Pricewise they arent even comparable. That may not be your opinion or experience but it is mine.

I shoot two Nikon Pro Staff 2-7x32mm and really like them. I feel the clarity, light gathering ability, and how they hold zero really says a lot for a $129.00 scope. The camo model I got on sale for $89.00 and that works perfect. It also changed my opinion about a Knight Disc rifle. I was thinking the rifle was not accurate. One day it would shoot perfect, the next time out not hit a thing. It had a Millet 3-9x40 on it. I changed over to that Nikon and now it is a boring rifle. It just shoots perfect all the time...
I thought about putting the Nikon 4X on some of the traditional rifles I scope. Since with a roundball, 100 yards is all I want to shoot and a 4X would be fine for that.
