So I've seen some referencees that not all ML's shoot Blackhorn 209 relaibly. Thus Far I'm leaning towards getting a Knight Rollign Block (KRB7). Before I getit I want to know if it will shoot Blackhorn 209. Does anyone know if it will shoot BH209? Has anyone acctually shot BH209 out of a KRB7?

So far from what I have read, the KRB7 will NOT shoot Blackhorn 209 in a dependable manner. You get a hang fire. It is because of the design of the breech plug from all I have read. I am sure Knight will address this issue in the future, but for now if you are determined to shoot that $30-50 dollar an bottle powder, then the KRB7 might not be the best rifle for you. The one rifle that they are having great results with the Blackhorn in is the T/C Triumph.

I saw the following article and asked the author the same question, here is his response.

A concern Knight had with the KRB and Revolution was the backward flow of fouling into the action. But, that was with Triple Seven, which has a much faster peak pressure curve. I shoot 100 and 110 grain charges of BH209 in front of the modified plug mentioned, and there does not seem to be any more fouling in the receiver than when I use the standard KRB 7breech plugwith FFFg Triple Seven."

I sent an inquery to Knight as welll;
"Will the Rolling Block reliably shoot Blackhorn 209 powder? I've heard that it will not with the standard breech plug, do you have a re-designed breech plug that will ignite the blackhorn 209 powder?"

Here is their reply, Quote:

"The only breech plug that goes into the Rolling Block, does have the smaller flash hole and it tends to not light up the Blackhorn as well as the Triple 7 FFg powder, which we recommend. The engineering dept is looking into it, but nothing has been added yet.
