I'd sure like to know what load they put in that thing - maybe something like 1/4 lb. FFg and 6 oz. #4 ????

I saw one of those at Fort York in Toronto. They called it a garrison gun. Mounted on a swivel on the palisade wall you could take out a whole platoon of baddies with one shot. Later the market gunners used them to decimate our duck and goose populations.

I believe that is what was also affectionately called a punt gun that was mounted on the bow of boats to shoot ducks on the chesapeake bay. I believe it was a 4 gauge.

I was just trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to ship it with UPS or FedEx?

I e-mailed Tom Knapp and asked what load was in that punt gun. His reply - "The load was 1/4 lb. FFg and one pound of steel BBs."

Just load, set the angle and point it in the opposite direction of where you want to send it. Pull trigger.
