Crappy weather
Man,I have been wanting to shoot for days now but we've had 20-35mph wind, mixed with rain. The rain i dont mind so much, thats doable, but the darn wind! Just drives you crazy when its howling out there.
Hoping to get the mountain stalker out to 71 yards and put it a couple inches high and then put it on target out at 100 so i can start testing the Powerbelts at the longer ranges.
I want to see what those 245 AT's do @ 80 yards with 100g charge. Thats what Saxman used in his rifle and never found the bullet, just pieces.
Should be interesting to see the outcome of that.

RE: Crappy weather
Know how you feel gander. We hit a high of 90 degrees today for the first time this year, with the humidity getting way up there. Shooting won't be real pleasant again until October. I guess I'll be sweating through a few range sessions, but not near an many as I have been having since the end of deer season. Fishing though, that's another story.

RE: Crappy weather
Well i was able to get 4 shots of 90g goex off and then 3 more with my 110g goex load. I am set for using 110g goex this season. My first 2 shots went directly center of the bulls eye, clipping the upper edge and my 3ed i pulled up high on due to the wind blowing so hard. Funny how the wind always calms down when you are inside, take 1 step outside and the screen door slams shut in your face
I SHOULD be close to dead on at 100 yards now but i'll have to take it out back and give it a try on a calm day.
Nice shooting bench and i have barely been able to use it
Rifle is cleaned and i have my powder tubes and balls and set and ready for Hopefully a shooting day tomorrow.

Well at least I am not the only one haveing wind problems this year, every thing looked good so I headed for the range monday been getting some 1/2 inch groups so I kind of use that load for a control. I got out of the car and got slapped in the face with a 15 or more mi. per hour wind the best group I could get with my control load was 1 1/2 " so after a couple of trys I just plinked did not learn much.
