Default rings and mounts for Encore

I've ordered a Encore Prohunter so... What rings and mounts are you guys using? Have to remove the rear sight? Was thinking about Leupold QR rings and bases or the T/C Warne rings and base.

every thing I've heard and read say the Leopold QD were great. Saved POI and just great. I have the pro and used fixed rings. I am saving a couple bucks to go QD all the way.

Oh, and I try to keep the iron sigts on all my scoped guns. If i trvel and have a scope or something break I can remove an dstill have sigts. Looks funky but if I'm hunting I ain't worried about looks!

The Leupold regular QR bases and rings correct? Not the Leupold QRW (Weaver style) bases and rings?

Leupold QR b ases and rings, I have been told to get a bore sighter to keep up my comfort level w/ the system. Sportsmans Guide has a bunch of different ypes of those.

In my (often erroneous) opinion, you would be better off spending that bore sighter money on powder and bullets, and have some shooting sessions in which you take the scope off and remount it halfway through the session, or between every five shots. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Ended up ordering the T/C Encore weaver style mount and the fixed Warne-T/C rings.

Most of my guns have Weaver mounts and I really do like them. A couple of my rifles, including the Encore .50 caliber, have pre-sighted back up scopes. That rifleis off less than 1.5"at 100 yardsafter the scopeand rings are removed and re-installed.

I've go Weaver style rings on my slug shotguns and my Knight ML. To me they seem more sturdy than the other styles...
