I hate cutting at the muzzle. Never do it. I precut and lube my patches at home and keep them in my range bag in a 4 oz. urine specimen bottle
. Easy to handle on the shooting bench and holds about 200 patches. For hunting, I carry about a dozen in my pocket in one of those little easy opening round pill cases from the drug store.

Dang...I carry my patches....In the Patch Box....
It's funny, for years, I used pre-cut, then pre-lubed...Now, I'm making my own lube, buying bulk material and cutting at the muzzle (or loading block)...
