Buckclub, it depends alot on the bc of the bullet. Most say bc doesn't matter on a ML, BULLS@&^! It just doesnt show up untill most ML's are out of gas. A hornady 300g hp .458 will hit about 28" low and 28" across in a 10mph crosswind(2175fps zero 3" high at 100). The 300g barnes original ssp will hit around 20" low, and with about half the wind drift of the hornady hp. The numbers are similar with the xtp vs. the sst. No substitute for practice, but this should give you an idea.

Sorry, the above info was for 300 yards, at 200 pretty much everything is 4" low.
That is shooting 3"high at 100 right, not dead on at 100. So the 3 over method. You need to be over 2100 fps to do the 4" low at 200. I don't think the 300g PBE will do4" low at 200, 4" low at 175, but not 200. Gotta get it going about 200 fps faster at the muzzle to do that, that is why I want to shoot 4198. Powder makes a big difference in range and ignition. Sabot makes a big difference in ignition. Primer is important, NO Kleenbore NO 777 primers, no MLer primers. Hot 209s only.

Yes, zeroed 3" high at 100. You need to do that to get anything only 4" low at 200. If you only zero 1.5" high at 100, you will be about 7-8" low at 200. If you are zeroed at 100, you be about 10" low at 200. The higher zero greatly increases you point and shoot range, and you dont give up very much at close range. 100 yds is usually the high point of the trajectory with the velocities we are working at, so as long as you take heart shots up close, you should have no problems with the higher trajectory. A ML is still kind of a cross between a centerfire and a bow, you cant think of the bullet like a laser, more like a really fast arrow.
