That's some good shooting there Frontier Gander. I always liked Pyrodex Select. I used to shot it all the time but one day they were out of it and I bought RS. I found the accuracy the same and the price a lot cheaper.

I was shooting my Tradition's Flintlock Hawkins today. With the 1-66 twist that sure is a good roundball shooter. At 50 yards I was shooting into a 4 inch paper plate and kept them all in that plate. I could not complain. The rifle is such a beauty. And the lock is really fast. A nice rifle.

Sabotloader, that situation is totally outside of my frame of reference.

Modification: Homework assignment applies only to members south of the snow line - but you have to shoot twice as much to make up for the guys whose sabots (or balls) are frozen.
I hear you about the snow. My boy's decided they wanted to go for a bunny hunt. No sooner than we got off the road and I was jingles deep in the stuff. No snowhoes at hand so it was a short hunt. The kids didn't sink quite as deep. lol

I just picked up on this thread so I'll do my darndest to get out next weekend. My project will be late, sorry teach.

We've had ten feet of snow this year so far and if hadn't of been for a January thaw there would have been a pile of it here.[:@]

Hey gander, I did mine. Shot the Zouave and the GP flintlock today.

I had planned to do some shooting Saturday afternoon also, but ended up teaming up with two other club membersbushhogging trails with our old tractorand cutting a new trail with a chainsaw. Man, I was too pooped to do anything but drink beer by the time we got back to camp. Didn't get home from the hunting lease `til 5:30 p.m. today- then my wife and I went out for dinner.

Anyway, I'll get my targets posted as soon as I catch up on the last two day's of posts by the rest of you guys.

Lots of good homework postsguys. THUMBS UP!
