I was going to start doing a little work on the stock but that is going to hold off until I shoot it. it is going to see alot of conicals.

off hand does anyone know the twist?

My NewEnglander like short conicals. I just got a mould for the Lee 250gr REAL and so far it looks very promising in the NewEnglander. The 1:48 twist is a compromise for PRB & conicals and I find it's fairly good for PRB but not ideal. For conicals the shorter designs do much better than a long bullet..................
of course ever barrel has it's own tastes and yours may make me out to be wrong. [:'(]

yeah, I got a lot of work.

btw I desided to refinish the stock tonite. there was nothing on tv.

Dont get in a rush, I finally finished the rear part of the GPR's stock a few days ago. Pretty much now just have to finish up the lock area and then fine sand and then oil the stock. Then rebrown everything.

ever used wood bleach? I plan on giving it a try when the new "big one" comes in and then just hit it with some 400 grit.

this is my second over all wood finishing job. my first was a sword rack that I never got hung. lol

[:@]grrr, I got a rusted screw in the but plate. I would had to take it to a gunsmith just to take that screw out anyone have any idea getting it out. I am going to have to hit an hard ware store to find a replacement.[:@]
