i prefer stainless steel. I dont like the price of the triump due to the cheaper materials used on the barrel. And they cant even try to tell me that this coating is better than actual SS.

This new finish has me interested, but I do not feel it has been field tested hard enough to say.. yes that is a good finish. The Triumph and the weather shield finish is still relatively new to the market. It is not stainless steel as I understand. So I think time will be the real judge of whether weather shield works well or not.

doug burche in kansas is the man you need to talk to about weatershield. his company is putting it on the triumph
they also sell ULTRA BORE COAT ,a ceramic coating for your bore. i have it in my triumph .it cleans very easy with the UBC . doug claims they have barrels with WS on them that have been laying in mud holes behind there shop for 2 years without rusting. doug is a very nice guy call or email him.

here's there site, http://www.ultracoatingsinc.com/index.html

We own 4 triumphs in our hunting group and we havent had one issue with any of them. I shot a deer on December 28th, rained like cats and dogs, let the gun sit over a day then cleaned it and it looked great inside the barrel. Im not sure how the weather sheild works but so far its holding up great for us.
