Default TC presaturated #13 patches smell

I know many of you helpful veterans on this board do not favor the TC cleaning products...But I have some of the presaturated #13 patches and they are probably about 9-10 months old. When I unscrew the top it stinks. Anyone else have this problem and are they still ok to swab with? Eventually, I'll try the windex trick that a lot of you guys on here favor...Thanks for the help.

I'm sure they are still fine to use if you can stand the smell of them. Be sure to ring them out before you use them. They are often times a little to wet for my taste. Good luck with them.

I always carry a bottle of them with me in my shooting box when I go to the range. They are a lot less messy than patches and a bottle of cleaner. One or two through the bore followed by a couple of dry patches and your good to continue. By the way, I never noticed any smell. Anyway, I usually swab the bore before I leave the range. If it does have an odor, itsbetter than having to smell that rotten eggs smell of burnt black powder on the way home.
