Default Gold Dot Did The Job

Took a nice doe this morning with the Omega. Used a 300 gr. gold dot in a crushed rib sabot over 95 gr777 powder, with a 777 primer. Right thru the boiler room. Went 50 yrds before tipping over. Exit wound was twice the size as the entrance. Sorry no pics.

Gimpy

Nice job...

I really think those Gold Dots are quality bullets.... I still have some Noslers left so I am still using them for hunting - but I shoot the Gold Dots for most everything else...

300 grain Gold Dots are my hunting bullets. Hey Gimpy, I know you got a pass through, but we would all appreciate it if you would go back and find that bullet so you could show us pictures of it.

Don't need a metal detector - all 'ya gotta' do is "vapor trail" the bullet. Just like blood trailing a deer.

Semisane, now I know why your wife wonders about you. Gimpy congrats on the deer. I love them Gold Dots to I used the 250gr this year, very effectivebothdropped in their tracks, and I did find the bullet with a metal detector [of course I was in a high stand on my own land and went back later to try just out of curosity, did not really expect to find it even though I new right where to look. Congratulations on the deer.. sounds like the bullets did a good job. With an exit wound like that, I think the blood trail would have been pretty good.
