i have see thru mounts on my ML .... only reason i have them on mine is because in michigan ... we have snow, sleet, rain, sun and anything else the clouds can throw at us plus 60 degrees and then 10 degrees 2 hours later.....sometimes all of that on the same day and messing with a scope in all that can be a pain sometimes.. and i dont want a big buck standing 30 yards away and cant shoot because rain.....etc. has covered my scope before the deer cleared a tree or something... just my opinion though. just basically on for extra insurance on my part.
