Default possible problem?

I took my new rifle to the range today...shooting 100 grain 777 and 777 primers. i noticed that when I swabbed between shots I would have a small bit of unburned 777 fall out of the barrel??? is that an issue and what causes it? thanks for any help you can provide

I would like to welcome you to the forum. Its good to have you here.

As for what you saw, I would "suspect" you saw some crud from the burning of the powder when you swabbed. If there was unburned powder, then you need to make sure the bore is dry. Or you could try a hotter primer.

Also, if the accuracy was good.. I would not worry about it.

Black powder and equivalent is "constant" burning, unlike smokeless powder. Meaning, It burns at a constant rate. If it is unburned powder, the projectile is leaving the barrel before all the powder is burned during firing. Use a heavier projectile or a smaller charge.
