SL, I highly recommend you sell ONE of your MANY renegades to one of your really good friends..........in Washington. That way, you can finance your new KRB which would probably keep Terry from putting another knot on your head.

Just a suggestion from a really good friend in Washington.

Cayugad, do you think that this gun is in good shape. I really trust and appreciate your opinion and would like more information please.
I really am not sure what rifle you are talking about. The Omega is a great rifle. The Knight is a great rifle. The Remington.. like already said. I would pass on that. Ask Underclocked about a Genesis.

Sabotloader.. I think you need a Knight KRB. That would really make your collection nice. And your wife would welcome a new addition. Even though C-daddy spreads all these rumors about her. I bet she is just a sweetie. And never would get upset at you for something as simple as a new rifle.. KRB KRB KRB KRB ... has a nice ring to it..

Do like I do and limit yourself to one muzzleloader!
I try to maintian a one muzzleloader inventory - one sidelock percussionrifle, one sidelock percussion shotgun, one sidelock percussion pistol, one break-open inline rifle, one inline break-open shotgun.......
even keep a ducksfoot in case highwaymen attempt to rob me.
Of course, there may be times when I have two of a particular style when purchases & trades overlap.

I know where there is a used Omega that is such a good deal I am tempted to buy it myself, but I do not need another inline. If you want the link let me know.. Composte thumbhole stock, stainless steel fluted barrel, 25 acp adapter, and all the extras for much less of what the rifle costed new...
Cayugad,
This is the gun that I was asking about. The used omega. Please let me know if it's available.

Dang it! Ml - I really did not want to here this... especially from someone that knows ML's... Darn!
Not sure how much I know about ML's but have been doing firearms about 60 years. Only serious about muzzleloaders in the last five years or so. Only have an Omega, T/C Hawken .54 with extra GM .50 barrel, Lyman flinter, NEF Huntsman, Two White 97's, One White Thunderbolt, The KRB7, and am lusting for a U-mag. Got a long way to go to catch up with guys like Dave. Seriously the KRB is a sweet rifle from what I can tell just by looking at and fondling it. Now the temperature has dropped below 100 degrees and I might just get a chance to shoot something. No luck drawing for elk or deer this year so will have to settle for paper.

I went to Cabela's last week and went into the bargain cave and picked up an Omega SST with synthetic stock, retails in catalog at $449.99 got it for $337.00. It's like new. I'm going to the range Saturday and shoot it. I'm going to try some Hornady SST 250 gr and 300 gr, some 300 gr Power Belts (haven't read much good about them) and some 250 gr Shock Waves all in front of JSG granular powder. It should be a blast.
