Default New load has been found!

I had a small flask of pyrodex p left over so i loaded up my staghorn with 100 grains pyro p, 295 grain powerbelt aerotip, started off at 75 yards and shot high of the bulls eye, 2nd 3ed shot were both in the same hole! 4th shot grouped with #1 shot, I think from now on, i will swab after 3 shots when using powerbelts. I can only imagine what it would do if i put the scope on it lol.

I'm impressed. I couldn't do that with these old eyes of mine.

That is some excellent shooting for that distance. Nice shooting.

My Staghorn is a very accurate rifle as well. In fact it has really done some impressive shooting from the bench with its RED DOT on it. It likes the 245 grain powerbelts and 90 grains of RS. Maybe I will have to try it with some P. I have some 295 grain powerbelts around the house.

i plan on doing more shooting with it later on. Im back to work on my .36 traditions frontier gander rifle. I got it shooting pretty good @ 20 yards with 20 grains fffg goex and a tiny .350 roundball. Now that rifle is just awesome to shoot! A pound of powder would last me a life time with that rifle lol.
Now i have to go clean the darn thing [:'(] Should be fun to do without the proper cleaning jag.
