I have a T/C Hawken that was given to meas an Xmas present about 25 years ago. It was a kit, I inlaided some jewelery in the stock when I built it and alsolater on bought a1in66 barrel for it.The stock eventually cracked in the wrist. When I called T/C about getting a new stock, theysaid I had to ship the entire rifle to them. I was not comfortable with that for two reasons: 1. The jewelry Iinlaided in the stockhas value on the market, andthe jewelry I put in the stock has meaning tothe native americans where I live. 2. I didnt thinkthey wouldhonor the warrantyon the rifle since I had done the inlay's.
Does anyoneknow were I canpurchase a stock for a T/C Hawken or one that will fit?Synthetic would also be acceptable. I just want toget this rifle shooting again.
Thanks in advance. Roger

For liability reasons TC has to install the barrel - tang - trigger & lock into the new stock. They will honor your warranty even with the alterations to the stock.
Think I would call TC direct - they will transfer you to the shop... tell them exactly what you have written here + you want the old stock back with you ornamentation. The other option is to tell them about the ornamentation and that you are going to remove it prior to mailing it all in, and because of this the stock will have voids in it.
The last option is toship the assembly certified and insured to TC and request they ship it back the same way.
I still think the best bet is to call them again and discuss your concerns and see if they can suggest possible options.
Hope something works for you. TC has down some warranty work for me in the past and were A1.
