dammit! I wasted 9 shots zeroing in at 50 yards when i should have left it and it would have been dead on at 75 yards! I take my first shot and totally miss, 2nd shot i aim to the right of the bulls eye and it hits the edge of the box. I move my sight back to the right and SOG! It was right back to where i started this morning and was dead on but 2" low. After a bit of fine tuning i got to darn worn out from walking back and fourth but i took 2 last shots with 348 grain powerbelts and put them both in the SAME hole. You could cover the hole with a Nickel.
I have 4 more 410 grain great plains bullets left that i will save for 100 yards tomorrow, Today was 75 yards. So far the GP's that grouped were great but no where near as excellent as the two powerbelts in one hole. Other than blowing 9 slugs for nothing today, It wasnt really that bad of a day. Turned out pretty darn good when i found the powerbelt surprise.

DONE! Beautiful cool evening for shooting. First off, i called the DOW to see if they would swap my tags for a different unit that we hunted last year and i got new tags for that area! Seeing how this area is pretty close to the road and private property, i switched my bullet to a fast loading 348 grain powerbelt hollow point. After 4 shots i was on target so my final shot i set up the target @ 100 yards and let her fly and was happy to see a bulls eye. Later on after hunting season i will fix my load for the 410 great plains bullets. Ive just been burning up to much powder these couple days and its hurtin my wallet. So the x-150 is on and ready for someone to use this season.
I dont plan on hunting with the Winchester this muzzleloading season, but am mainly taking it as a back up incase one of our rifles should fail. This season im using the deer creek .45 on a doe. Next year it will be my flintlock taking a doe
And elk hopefully.

I picked up those 410 grain great plains bullets today and what i thought was ffg triple 7 that turned out to be fffg triple 7 when i got home. I set a target up @ 20 yards and took a shot and was happy as heck to see that the bullet hit exactly where i was aiming. I only had enough light for one shot before it was to dark, but so far i think this new bullet will be a winner. All i will probably have to do is adjust my powder charge up once i start working in the 50-75 yard range.
70 grains FFFg triple 7
410 grain hornady great plains
Winchester Triple 7 209 Primer " $8.69 a box [&:]"
Recoil was.... well, there was none! I really love that limbsaver recoil pad i had put on the rifle some months back
I think i will max my load out at 80 grains of triple 7, thats what the rifle loved with the 385's i used to shoot. Going to do a few more shots tomorrow evening and tune it in for 50 yards.
