What do you think the maximum effective range on a whitetail would be using the .50 Cal Encore Pro Hunter with 100 gr (2 pyro pellets) and 250 Shockwave?? Also, what about 130 pyro pellets (2 -50's and 1 30 gr). Havent heard how bad the recoil is with 150grof pyro. Would think the pro hunter design would help the recoil. I had a thumbhole .50 cal Omegaand it kicked like heck with 150 gr (3 pellets).

130gr: About 200 yards. Sight in 3" high at 100yds. Will put you about 2.5" high at 50yds, 1/4" high at 150yds, 6" low at 200.
This is all under the assumption that the shooter has a decent rest and can hit the vitals at that distance. Then the bullet should have no problem doing the killing.
