made meat today
Took a walk today and found that rabbits have been getting into our hay stack and so i set up and a few minutes later, a wittle wabbit comes hopping right out from under the stack. I waited for "him" to stop and i popped him with my deer creek .45 mountain rifle @ 40 yards. When i got up to him, i noticed his heart had blown out the side of him and was still whole. This is another wabbit i cleaned out with the shot.
80- grains Pyrodex RS, .452 PRB and .015 patch. Yes i know, i should be using a .440 roundball, but the .452 and the .015 patch are super tight to start but is amazingly accurate. It just kills me that i have to use 80 grains with that combo to get it to shoot tight groups. Next run to town im stocking up on .440 speer round balls and a few tins of cci magnum caps.
