I put the Alox in a shallow pan, then put the pan in the oven to slightly warm. About 150 degrees for a couple minutes. I place the bullets on the pan and roll them around by slightly shaking the pan(like the way you shake your primer tray). I then pick the bullets up with tweasers and place them in a cigar style box. Then sprinkle a little corn starch on top of the bullets. Roll the bullets around in the corn starch a little bit, it will not hurt the bullets, and it makes them much more pleasant to handle. Tom.

Tried the liquid alox (as it is sold) on some conicals (Lee minis) in my Lyman Plains pistol. The pistol is normally very accurate with the conicals, and with the liquid alox accuracy was just as good as always. I applied the liquid alox according to the directions on the container (Lee brand) and it dried in the 24 hours I gave it before I checked it. My next test will probably be with Lee R.E.A.L. bullets and my T/C NewEnglander when I get some bullets cast.

I mix the Lee liquid alox and regular rubbing alcohol in about a 3 to 1 mix. The alcohol makes it dry faster and less sticky.

cayugad, How long of a shelf life have you experienced with the beeswax, murphy's and castor oil lube?
I have had lube made up for over 2 years and am still using the stuff. In fact I used some today on maxiball. It worked fine.

Good to hear, because I went a bit overboard and probably made a couple of years worth
