RE: NEF HUNTSMAN 50CAL?????
I purchased this same gun in October and used it for the early muzzleloader season here in PA.
I didn't have any problem killing a deer with it at 70 yards. The bullet hit high in the deers mid back and dropped it. It was dead when it hit the ground. I think the deer jumped the shot because I was aiming for the heart. I've had this happen with my slug gun because at 70 yards the slug or bullet isn't really traveling that fast like a rifle bullet and the deer has time to react to the "Boom".
Before the season started I shot the gun a couple dozen times at the range. I never had a single misfire and the accuracy was pretty good at 50 yards. I used the Powerbelt bullets with this gun and 2 50 grain pyrodex pellets.
Hope this helps.

buckless, If you are planning to buy a huntsman you might want to wait a bit , in the Jan. 2003 issue of shooting times they have a picture of a huntsman in stainless steel with a sythetic stock that will be offered this coming year.
