Making your own sabots

That is good information - the MMP HPH-3p-EZ load will work well for you.
I do not know what your pocketbook is like but I do not shoot SW's or SST's because they are just to expensive for me and I like to shoot a lot so itcould get really expensive...
I shoot a lot of Speer's.... I use to shoot just regular Hornady XTP's but I have been totally impressed with the Speer Gold Dots. They are a bonded bullet and the lead can not be separated from the copper.
I personally shoot the 250 grain .452 Hollow point for deer, although a lot of people are shooting the 300 grain for both deer and elk. The 300 grain has a very good BC and shoots really well. Both of these bullets are easy 150/175 yard bullets. If your shots are going to be in the 200 yard range then the SW's would be your best bet.
Another bullet that I am really high on is the Hornady 10mm 200 grain XTP in an MMP 40/50cal Blue sabot... That bullet will shoot varmints to mule deer and handle the job just fine...
I have a couple threads identified but they are on on my other computer I will get off this one and go to it and add the strings....

The SW I tried were the new superglides and they loaded a little tigher than the powerbelts, but those load pretty easy.
