Ok, I have a stupid question, I am getting ready to place an order for bullets and sabots so I can make some smoke with my new Triumph and I was going to order some mmp saboys that is talked about here. My question is, what are you guys referring to when you say mmp 12's and mmp 24's. All I have seen is the high pressure mmp's on Cabelas web site and the standard and the high pressure on Midsouth shooter's site.
Thanks for the help.

With TC tight barrel you will probably get good results with either the 24 or the 3 petal using a .452 bullet. If you want to use a .451 the 12 may work.

MMP makes a number of different sabots in different thickness levels. So depending on how tight a barrel you have, you can order a sabot that seals the bore well and does not need a hammer to load..
HPH-12 are the standard thickness sabots
HPH-24 are thinner and more easy to load then the HPH 12
The three petal I have never used but heard they are easy to load.
Also harvester makes sabots. They have standard sabots and then the crushed rib. I use the crushed rib in a lot of my rifles... But they are easy to load. Also the sabots come in standard and high pressure. That is determined by the length of the petal and thickness of the base. Sabotloader can explain all of this to you much better then I, and since he shoots Omega's he might have some excellent suggestions for you as well.

If your Triumph is like the other Triumphs that have been discussed you probably have a very tight bore. And with that tight bore I doubt that you will be able to to get a HPH-24 down without a struggle - with either a .452 or a .451 bullet.
You might try some HPH-3p-Ez sabots but more than likely you will end up using Harvester's "crush rib".
You might call MMP directly and ask Connie if she would send you a few 3p's and HPH-24's to try. They are usually very accomodating.Plus pick up some Harvester "crush ribs" and see which one works best for you.
I shoot an Omega and I am able to HPH-24's so there is an outside chance that it might work in your Triumph, but from what I have read - don't think so.

Sabotloader, read you shoot a Omega so this question is for you if you're out there, I have a Omega 50 that I'm trying to find a better bullet/load for. Would like to try Barnes TEZ bullets and am wondering on the sabot to try with them. Measured my barrel and got several different numbers, .500-.503. Am thinking about the mmp or harvester sabots, just don't know which ones?
I have shot powerbelts and have taken a few deer but did not like there performance. Now I'm shooting t/c shockwaves and like them but they are tough to load. Especially after the first shot.
Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks

I got good groups in my Omega and the Barnes T-EZ with the HPH-12. The T-EZ is a .450 diameter bullet (not a .451 or .452) so you may need to go to the thicker sabots like the HPH-12.
The Harvester Short Black loaded easier and shot almost as good.
Good Luck... Rob

Quite a number of us shoot an Omega along with some others[ the wife seems to think that I can only shoot one at a time but I convinced her I need two more to shoot while the first one cools off] I believe that the majority use either the MMP HPH 24 or the Short Black Harvester. They are real close to the same thickness but different plastic and different length. I use both as I like to shoot many different bullets and some work much better with one bullet some with the other bullets; I have found this to be true in all my guns. You might ask for a sample to find the correct thickness but if you do not JB bore paste your barrel to break it in do not be surprised when it wants a thicker petaled sabot after it is well broken in [polished].
