RE: new to black powder
Just another quick hint now that I thought about it. My breathing routine when I'm shooting rifle is to inhale slowly as I squeeze the trigger. Not a good idea with a ML, especially if the wind is in your face. 20 years ago I learnt the hard way...hack...hack...hack

RE: new to black powder
i was watching the history of snipers and it was:
For a long shot, Breathe in and then hold it, BANG.
For close shot, Breathe out, hold it, BANG.
Sometimes when im shoot and i just need it to be a air higher i'll adjust my breath and breathe in a little more air and it usually takes it up to where i need it. There are some interesting ways to do things right. The way you hold the rifle, your breathing, exe.
