Default T/C Scout and duo-mount/quick release

Forgot to add this question to my post a couple of minutes ago. The "duo-mount" system for the T/C Scout is new to me. Questions:

Is the quick release the only option for T/C Scout scope mounting? Or, is there a stationary mount option?

Anybody like/dislike the quick release?; and why.

Also, I've only seen one picture of a scope mounted to a T/C Scout, and it made it look like the scope rode pretty darn high above the gun. If there's a stationary mount option, will the scope ride lower using this?

Thanks.

the duo mount system is kinda an odd duck. i have one for my new englander but havent installed it . i called thompson center and they told me that it has some problems with returning the scope to zero after puting it back off and on but maybe some others have an opinion. i would personaly go with a standard set ofbases andrings that releaseif it were me. the duo ring system is actually 3 parts . the base, the adapter ,and the rings,.

I have one on a Hawken I like it you need to rap the gun butt on the floor after putting it back on to get "0" back other than that it has worked fine for some years. Lee
