About the Idaho bullet length issue. Yesterday I spoke with Ed Mitchell of IDFG in Boise. Got some things clarified as to the new muzzleloader rules. There will be no bullet length restriction. A pivoting hammer is required but it does not need to be on the side of the gun, good news for those who own Scouts, Kaknke, Markesbery guns or any other that have a pivoting hammer and #11 caps.

Indeed I did UC, and next week I will be calling the technical guy at IDFG and give him the information the Trads neglected too provided.

I will also give them information about the performance capabilities of the newer flintlock guns availible from T/C, Lyman and RMC, you know, the ones that shoot 150 grains of pelets with fast twist barrels, laminted stocks, composite stocks and such.
