I will be attending the Range Safety Officer course on Ft Leonard Wood tomorrow. It is a free course offered to all Soldiers and dependants so we can use the privately owned weapons range on the base. It is free and it sure will beat driving out to the Quarry to shoot from now on.

Mike, now why do you want a range there when you have that pit you use.
You drive to a range and see all the stations are full and a long line ahead of you on weekends and near the deer seasons start.
I like my home range although nearly under water at the time from all the rain we have been getting. I can use it any time I want. I could even now learn to shoot from a canoe

Congrats on a place to shoot. Here in Tennessee we have a few ranges that are put together by the TWRA ( Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency) and from what residents pay we should get something extra. Having said thatI will say the new rifle ranges are nice. They are covered and have great shooting rest and benches. We have 50 and 100 yard ranges. I will get some pics.
