I really see no reason to get the kit. Get a package of 250 grain Shockwaves, a T-starter, a dog bone capper, a de-capper, some quality breech plug grease, clear see though powder measure, some patches, and some cleaning solvent.. you have the accessory pack for a lot less.

Breech plug grease can be substitutes with Slick 50 one grease, cleaning solvent can be an mix of isopropyl alcohol and car windshield washer fluid, patches can be old socks and T-shirts, but the rest you need to purchase like the 209 primers, powder, etc.

cayugad is giving some good advise. When they put it together for you they have to charge you for their time and when you put it together you can select the exact components that you want.

Also in your Black Diamond ... a perfect breech plug wrench after you pull the locking lug and the hammer striker is a 6" extention with a socket and a 9/16th short socket. It will fit through the back of the rifle and you can crank that nipple and then the breech plug out real easy...

Cayugad - isn't the breech plug on a Black Diamond a 7/16" socket?

Duh!!! My son was looking for the wrench to remove the breeach plug. I don't know why we didn't think of the extension and the socket. This getting old does cause some senior moments. Thanks guys

I was not sure which one it was.. I was at a bargin bin in the hardware store, saw some cheap sockets and an extension and bought the rifle it's very own set. So now I just grab the one that is all put together... You're probably right.
