I know there are many of these rifles in use. I saw four in one weekend during deer season. What loads are you using in yours?

Standard loads work good in them. My fav was 95gr of pyrodex ffg. and 240gr XTP with harvester sabot. I later started using 250gr barnes Expander.

85 grains of Goex 3f and a 240 grain XTP. It also shoots the 300 grain XTP's real well. Another thing the Wolverine shoots well is powerbelts and sabertooth conicals. I shoot them with 100 gr of Goex 2f with exceptional accuracy. I have the older style, the LK-II model.

If you want to small game hunt, load 50 grains of Goex 3f and a .490 patched roundball. The accuracy will surprise you.

I shoot 100 gr of 777 and 250 gr shockwave. I found that 300 gr. was too heavy for deer at 0 to 70 yards. I never did find out about the 70+ with the 300 gr. I also have the LK-IImodel.

What type of scope does everyone have?

I have a Simmons 3 x 9, not the most expensive but it has done the job.

I have a Sightron S1 3-9x40mm on mine and it is a very good shooting rifle with that scope. The only thing I intend to do is switch rings over to some Warne QD rings. (that is if Santa is good to me).

I am shooting 100gr. of RS behind a 250 grain SW. 1 hole at 50 yds. and 1.5 inches at 100 yds. It is wearing a Burris FFII Balistic Plex.
