I do believe i've found my combination, after taking this buck with my muzzleloader, I think ive found the right setup with 100gr Triple 7 and Powerbelt 295 Aerotips. I hit this buck at 50 yards, he trotted about 20 yards and had the most amazing blood trail ive ever witnessed. I wish i had pictures of it, it was a perfect heart shot and the blood trial was sprayed no joke 6 ft wide for 20 yards. When i went to field dress him him heart was basically mush, the bullet held together well, not expanding too much, the exit was just about 2x's the size of the entrance. I like the performance of this etup and will continue to use it out of my Wolverine 209. heres some pics of the deer and the shot, i didnt think about getting a blood trail pic or an exit hole, you can see the entranc ein the second pic. Just wanted to brag i guess
and suggest a load!!

Matt - congratulations on taking a fine deer. With a muzzle loader, that makes it that much better. On that bottom photo, I am going to guess that the hole is an exit hole. Looks like a heck of a nice placed shot. And it's always nice to have a blood trail, even if you don't need it.
