Hope you whack the big boy!

What cannon will you be using in all that timber? It sure will be interesting hunting as they will be right on top of you before you know it. I hunt similar areas and rarely shoot out to 50 yds. My guess is the White will be getting use with those heavy conicals. It sure looks like a big buck hangout. Good luck, our season is a week old in MO. We did see a big 10 and 8 go at it and fight with locked horns and really make a mess of the area, but it was off our property. We'll see this weekend. ML season is similar to yours as it starts after Thanksgiving and goes into December.

The White will get first crack at it but I really want to try with the .58 caliber and the .54 caliber flintlock too. When I stalk I will be taking the Wolverine LK-II or the Stalker Carbine loaded with a maxiball. I just got back in from checking the area again.

Big track was in last early today from prints. It came in during the new snow and looks like they might have came from the direction ofa cedar grove in the middle of the marsh. I might have to put a stalk on that island later in the week....

The cedars are the way to go. Where I hunt, they are so dense the sun can't even penetrate the canopy. I have seen some big boys bed down in there. I can't imagine what it would be like to get one with a flinter. If you do list all the details for us. Again good luck on what happens to come your way.
