Wewill be out and about on Saturday during the day....(too cold at night still). Basically just checking my converter and all of the other parts of the boat to make sure they will be working correctly......

I think we will start at Dawson Lake and probably end up on Clinton. If anyone would like to meet up that would be fun....

We will probably hit Clinton some time on Saturday but not sure when. Most likely saturday night. Will have MR. Extreme, his dad and chez-head with me.

I don't know if I can "man up" on Saturday night....It is something about cold weather and water.......I can sit in a treestand at -30 but put me on water at 30 above and I can't do it...

I think we are probably going to stick to the day.....Don't know...we will see what happens

No pics.....However......Dawson...FORGET IT! It looked like Rend Lake last year at the Billy Davis...Mud with a little bit of water....


Clinton was spotty and the fish were few and far between. Found them sitting ontop of deadfalls and underneath brush. We only got 3....But the best news is that I ran the lights, genny, and the converter all day as if we were running at night..(to test out the converter I installed). Even through all of the wind we had I checked the battery when I got home and I was still at full charge!!!!

Ken, When were you there? Snuffy with his boat and me and mine got there around 3pm. He had my sister aka (Chez-head) with him. And I had Mr. Extreme my grandson and his dad Brian with me. You did a lot better than we did. We all got a shot or two, but ended up getting skunked. First time ever getting skunked at Cinton. So we loaded up and headed for Georgetown lake and got there just a dark. Hit the water and just about the same thing. Did see a few managed about 10 shots for the group of us. Snuffy shot one carp and a sucker, i shot a carp.

I almost for got the most important askpect of the shoot. I beat Mr. Big FISH AKA Snuffy in big fish. I beat his 4# 4oz carp by 4 ounces with a huge 4# 7oz dandy. Oh who sweet it was. Love those green backs.

Mr. Extreme his dad Brian heading across Clinton lake. Tyler is now 6'. He looks like he is taller than I am but it just looks like it.

I just look like I'm shorter than Kendall too. [8D]

Sounds like you guys at least had fun. I wanted to get out yesterday but didn't make it. They cut Mondays at my morning job ...so I will just have to go out there tonight and see if the fish came back or if we've just depleted the carp population on Clinton that bad.

So Tyler's 6' now? I was talking with carpoon and he said Casey's sprung up too. That's what happens when you feed those boys. They get big. And if Casey or Tyler read this just remember guys, old age and treachery beats youth and skill every time.
